The Art of Eddie Jelinet and Juan Estravides - At Sabor 2 Cafe in Pasadena for the Month of August

Juan Francisco Estravides was born in Lima, Peru on April 30th, 1972. His art is his passion. He has been a natural talent from a young age living in Lima, winning many competitions early in his career. He moved to the United States in 1986 and attended the prestigious La Serna High School where his talents where widely recognized. His passion during these years was taking contemporary celebrities and painting them in beautiful and interesting ways. He developed his talent using multiple medias from pencils to oils while using different surface materials. He developed a material layering technique that provides a three dimensional feel to his portraits. These pieces are very collectable and have been sold to several collectors around the world.

ArtWalk Singer and Composer Ms. Deborah Ash returns to the singing stage.

A GIFTED ARTIST, COMPOSER AND PRODUCER MS DEBORAH ASH is one woman who loves to sing, her voice in range and color like cellophane catching fire.
Ms. Ash has been singing, performing and writing songs from early age. Ms. Ash's relationship to Gospel and RnB began in the fourth grade in her home town of Buffalo, New York when her 4th grade music teacher introduced southern spirituals as part of the curriculum.
She felt the music in her heart and knew it in her soul.
Ms. Ash draws inspiration from many sources: Influences include Mahalia Jackson, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Sarah Vaughn, Stevie Wonder, B.B.King, Etta James, Linda Hopkins, Billie Holiday, The Rolling Stones, Taj Mahal, Weather Report, Keith Jarrett, Luther Vandross, Fela Kuti, Bach. Cole Porter.
Ms Ash has performed on stage with Joe Cocker, Elmo Witherspoon, Bonnie Raitt, Bad Boy Johnson, Billy Mitchel, King Errison, Mickey Champion, Linda Hopkins, Barbara Morrison, Rick James, Harold Bennett, Genell Hawkins, Carl Anderson, Michael C. Ford.
She has sung in India with Qawalli musicians and participated in the University of Buffalo's avante garde Composer-In-Residence program and worked cross town performing the blues with artists Elmo Witherspoon and the All Stars in her hometown.
In Buffalo , N.Y. Ms. Deborah performed and composed songs as part of the exciting team of Ash & Campagna which included her then husband.

Steven Perry has turned this restaurant, known for its spicy Cajun dishes, into a comfortable and polished neighborhood favorite. The menu includes everything from crawfish-stuffed Cajun potatoes to crawfish and shrimp etouffee to macaroni and cheese. The walls hold posters of New Orleans’ legends, and some – such as Bobby Brown and Stevie Wonder – have even performed within those walls.
